Report: Bickerstaff to finish season as Grizzlies' interim head coach
The Memphis Grizzlies are in no rush to find David Fizdale's replacement.
Associate head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has reportedly been named the Grizzlies' interim head coach after the team fired Fizdale following an eighth straight loss over the weekend.

Instead of searching for Fizdale's full-time successor, though, the plan is for Memphis to stick with Bickerstaff for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign, a source told CBS Sports' Matt Moore.

Bickerstaff joined the franchise in 2016 after serving as interim coach of the Houston Rockets following Kevin McHale's dismissal. Houston went 37-34 in 2015-16 under Bickerstaff, who withdrew his name from consideration for the position after the team was bounced in the opening round of the playoffs by the Golden State Warriors.
He's also worked with both the Charlotte Bobcats (2004-07) and Minnesota Timberwolves (2007-11) as an assistant.
