'Arthur' producer wants LeBron to guest star on show
LeBron James' cryptic "Arthur" Instagram post landed him a job offer from the long-running children's series.
Carol Greenwald, senior executive producer at WGBH Boston, told For The Win's Charles Curtis that she was "thrilled" to see James and his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates using the meme of Arthur's clenched fist. The show has since reached out to James' agent about the possibility of him guest starring.
"LeBron is active in the Cleveland community, he has a foundation and has worked a lot with youth," Greenwald said. "I admire that about him. He's a great role model for kids, articulate, and smart. It's so great he's using Arthur."
Past "Arthur" guest stars include Fred Rogers, Lance Armstrong, Alex Trebek, Michelle Kwan, and Art Garfunkel.
