Cuban: LaVar, Trump 'are so much alike'

While LaVar Ball and Donald Trump have their differences, Mark Cuban thinks they're actually very similar.

When the Dallas Mavericks owner was asked about the two - whose feud was extended Monday night when Ball refused to thank Trump on CNN - he compared the father of three hoopers to the U.S. president.

"They are so much alike, because Donald will say what he needs to say for PR and to be talked about, so does LaVar," Cuban told TMZ Sports. "Donald doesn't apologize for anything, neither does LaVar. LaVar knows if he apologizes, there's nothing else to talk about. LaVar doesn't apologize, he'll be in the news all day every day and the president will end up having to talk about him.

"What's better for Big Baller Brand? It's straight out of the Donald Trump playbook. Congratulations, LaVar."

Trump talked to Chinese President Xi Jinping about releasing LaVar's son, LiAngelo, and his UCLA teammates Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley after they were arrested for shoplifting. The trio returned to home soil last week, and publicly thanked the POTUS. LaVar refused to do the same, prompting Trump to tweet he "should have left them in jail."

Cuban joked that LaVar should mend his relationship with Trump by sending him some kicks.

"I think he should send him an unlimited supply of Big Baller Brand shoes, because this is really what this is all about. Donald Trump just wants some free shoes," he said.
