The Houston Rockets are on fire.

The team set a new franchise record with 90 points in the first half of Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns.

It's the most points collected by any team in a half since 1990, when the Suns hung 107 on the Denver Nuggets in the first half. Houston's previous record was 87, set in 1990 as well.

James Harden led all scorers at recess with 33 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field, 5-of-5 from deep, and 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. He also had four dimes, a block, and a steal to help give his team a 25-point advantage.

The 11-4 Rockets shot 60 percent from both the field and from beyond the arc.
