Report: NBA fines Eric Bledsoe $10K for 'I don't wanna be here' tweet
The league wasn't buying the "hair salon" excuse.
Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe was fined $10,000 by the NBA for tweeting "I don't wanna be here" two weeks ago, according to Scott Bordow of AZ Central.
The tweet was received as a reflection of Bledsoe's dissatisfaction with the Suns, a wayward franchise that has fallen on hard times. However, Bledsoe told Suns management in a subsequent meeting that he was actually at a hair salon and that it wasn't directed at the franchise.
But it's obvious Bledsoe wants out. He's been exiled from the team as the Suns look to find a trade partner. A handful of teams are showing interest, but Phoenix has yet to find a suitable agreement.
The 28-year-old Bledsoe averaged 15.7 points and three assists in three appearances this season.
