NBA fines Beal, Oubre, Green for scuffle; Morris, Felix suspended
Bradley Beal has avoided suspension, but his Washington Wizards teammates who left the bench during Friday's fracas against the Golden State Warriors did not.
Beal was fined $50,000, the league announced Sunday, while Markieff Morris and Carrick Felix were suspended one game each for leaving the bench over the scuffle with Draymond Green.
Green and Wizards forward Kelly Oubre also picked up $25,000 and $15,000 fines, respectively.
The punishment came hours before the Wizards were scheduled to play the Sacramento Kings, and underscores just how seriously the league takes players leaving their benches.
Morris and Felix are yet to play this season.
Beal instigated the scuffle by hitting Green in the head under the basket, leading to a wrestling match between the two. During the ensuing melee, Oubre was caught on camera striking Klay Thompson.
Earlier Sunday, Beal said he fully expected to be suspended.
