LeBron after 57-point night: 'This is the best I've felt in my career'
LeBron James is aging like fine wine.
At 32 years old and in his 15th NBA season, the self-proclaimed "old head" became the youngest player in history to join the 29,000-points club, and said he's never felt better.
"I might be the youngest, but I don't feel young," James said as he walked through the players' tunnel after Friday's game. "Even though this is the best I've felt in my career right now. I just gotta keep it going. Keep it going, baby."
The Cleveland Cavaliers icon poured in 57 points on 23-of-34 shooting from the field to go along with 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and two blocks to lift his team past the Washington Wizards, 130-122, and end a four-game losing skid.
"I had to do what I had to do to help us get off this losing streak," the four-time MVP said. "I ain't about losing. Y'all know me. You know me for a long time in this league, I ain't about losing. Ain't about talking about, it's about making it happen, that's what I had to do. I haven't scored like that in a while."
It's true - the last time James surpassed the 50-point plateau was in March 2014, when he hung a career-high 61 on Charlotte as a member of the Miami Heat.

"Every shot that I took, I felt like it was going in," he told reporters after Friday's effort. "Even when they were highly contested, I just had my eyes on the target."
James and the Cavs next take the floor Sunday when they host the Atlanta Hawks.
