There appears to be a part of The Process that Joel Embiid doesn't trust.

A day after expressing disappointment over his new minutes restriction - which Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown estimated would be "in the teens" - Embiid voiced frustration.

"That's fucking bullshit," the 23-year-old big man said Tuesday, as quoted by The Athletic's Rich Hofmann. "I wish I was playing more minutes."

Embiid was on a minutes restriction last season and didn't suit up in back to backs, but still averaged more than 20 minutes in the 31 games he played before he was shut down to undergo knee surgery.

Now he's dealing with an ankle sprain, and although he's yet to be cleared for Wednesday's season opener against the Washington Wizards, the talented 7-footer feels like he's good to go.

"I think I'm ready, I think I'm ready for more than whatever number they have," he said. "I don't know, I wish I was playing more but we're going to see how that goes."

Brown indicated Embiid's minutes could vary depending on how he looks and feels, as well as the pace of games. After sitting out two seasons due to as many foot surgeries, the 2014 lottery pick put up 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 2.1 assists in just 25.4 minutes per outing.

His health could be the difference between the Sixers making the playoffs or missing it for the sixth year in a row.

As for the profane nature of his comment, Embiid could face discipline. The outspoken center was fined $10,000 by the league in July for using inappropriate language on social media.
