Jaylen Brown releasing rap album as Jaythoven

After writing a rap track to help calm his nerves before guarding LeBron James in last season's Eastern Conference finals, Jaylen Brown is expanding his musical horizons by releasing an album.

Brown announced the news at the Boston Celtics' fan fest over the weekend while on a panel with NBC Sports Boston's Abby Chin.

"You'll see some of the album covers on Instagram," Brown said, according to Jay King of MassLive.com. "It's coming soon."

Brown also revealed his rap name.

"They call me Jaythoven, because I be on the keys," he said.
