Father and son shared a touching moment shortly after Kyrie Irving was introduced to the media as the newest member of the Boston Celtics on Friday morning.

Kyrie handed his No. 11 jersey to his father, Drederick Irving, before giving him a hug and saying "thank you."

Drederick competed at Boston University from 1984 until 1988 while wearing No. 11, which the school has since retired.

Kyrie's mother died when he was young, strengthening the bond he has with his father. He even gave Drederick the championship ring he won in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
