John Wall and Bradley Beal are doing their part to assist the city of Houston.
The pair of Wizards guards reached out to their Washington teammates via a group text to raise money for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.
Otto Porter and Markieff Morris were reportedly the first two players to donate, leading others to follow suit.
"John and Brad put together a group text and wanted to help out the people in Houston, and I think everybody is jumping on board," Wizards head coach Scott Brooks told Buckner. "It’s exciting. I’m pretty proud of them to spearhead the group and help out the people in Texas."
The Wizards raised $250,000 as of Monday, with more donations expected.
