Tayshaun Prince could soon be a member of the Memphis Grizzlies' front office.

The retired NBA forward is closing in on a deal to become a special assistant to general manager Chris Wallace, sources told Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Prince played with the Grizzlies from 2013-15, averaging seven points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 41.4 percent shooting over two-plus seasons.

The Grizzlies enter the 2017-18 campaign with some unfamiliarity, with veterans Zach Randolph, Vince Carter, and Tony Allen all gone from last year's roster.
