ESPN faced a hefty amount of criticism Tuesday after airing a fantasy football segment in which black NFL players were auctioned off to mostly white bidders.
Kevin Durant was among the many to take exception to the controversial bit, voicing his displeasure with the network on Twitter.

ESPN later apologized for the segment.
"Auction drafts are a common part of fantasy football, and ESPN’s segments replicated an auction draft with a diverse slate of top professional football players. Without that context, we understand the optics could be portrayed as offensive, and we apologize," ESPN said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports.
