The NBA announced its opening night schedule for the 2017-18 regular season Thursday.

The Boston Celtics will battle the Cleveland Cavaliers in a rematch of the 2017 Eastern Conference finals, while the Houston Rockets will visit Oracle Arena to take on the reigning champion Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The Warriors will also receive their 2017 championship rings in a ceremony Oct. 17.

The full schedule will be released at a later date.

The 2016-17 season began Oct. 25. Commissioner Adam Silver declared in July that the upcoming season would begin earlier in an effort to cut down on back-to-back games.
