Dallas Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr. is close to signing a "lucrative" endorsement deal with Under Armour, a source told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
Smith would join No. 4 selection Josh Jackson as the other 2017 lottery pick to ink a deal with the sports apparel company.
The 19-year-old is coming off a terrific freshman campaign with North Carolina State, averaging 18.1 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.6 rebounds on 45.5 percent shooting.
After impressing in Summer League last month, the 6-foot-3 point guard has made a strong case to start for the Mavericks next season.
