76ers' Simmons ready to ball out: 'It's going to be a scary sight'

Ben Simmons is about to get started on his pro career, and he promises it's going to be a "scary sight."

On Monday, the versatile forward shared an update that's encouraging for Philadelphia 76ers fans and perhaps unnerving for the rest of the league.

Last year's No. 1 pick missed the entire 2016-17 season after suffering a right foot injury during training camp. He learned a lot while watching from the sidelines, and he's applying those lessons while working on his game now that he's healthy.

Injuries have plagued the team throughout The Process, but the 76ers are hoping to catch a break this season so their recent lottery picks - including Markelle Fultz, Joel Embiid, and Simmons - can get in some reps together and try to lead the club to the playoffs for the first time in six years. Given their talent and the weakened Eastern Conference, it's certainly on the table, especially if Simmons keeps his word.

Get hyped, Sixers fans.
