Oakley: Modern players too sensitive, 'some of them should wear dresses'

Charles Oakley was a tough guy on the basketball court, so you have to take his opinions on the level of aggression in today's game with a grain of salt.

The former Knicks big man was in Dallas on Friday for a live recording of Michael Rapaport's "I Am Rapaport" podcast, and didn't fail to stir the pot. While lambasting the sensitivity of today's hoopers, Oakley went as far as to say some of today's players "should wear dresses while they play basketball."

While Oakley's comments are politically incorrect at best - and at worst, misogynistic and homophobic - he should have known better. After a career's worth of battles in the paint with Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, Oak knows better than most NBA players that what a person wears has little impact on how they perform on the hardcourt.
