Even though LeBron James can effectively leave the Cavaliers after the upcoming season, Cleveland's front office is confident that its superstar remains locked in.

"LeBron remains deeply committed to this organization, he remains deeply committed to this team, and deeply committed to this city," newly hired Cavs general manager Koby Altman told the press Wednesday. "It means a lot for him to be here and compete for championships for years to come.

James has a player option for the 2018-19 season worth approximately $35.6 million, but the generational superstar has shown he's willing to entertain every possibility that gets him closer to adding to his championship tally. After leaving a dysfunctional Cavs organization for the Miami Heat in 2010, James returned to Cleveland in 2014 to team up with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, eventually winning his third NBA title in 2016.

For now, Altman is focused on maximizing the team's window of contention with LeBron in tow.

"The goal is singular," Altman said. "It's focused on trying to win championships, so we're committed to him. From an organizational standpoint, that's our goal."
