The Los Angeles Lakers appear to have liked what they saw from Tyler Ennis in 22 games at the end of last season.

The Lakers and Ennis agreed to a one-year, minimum-salary contract for the 2017-18 season with a team option for 2018-19, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

Ennis, 22, was selected 18th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2014 NBA Draft, but his tenure in the desert was short-lived. After just eight appearances with the Suns, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of a three-team deal that brought Brandon Knight to Phoenix. Two subsequent trades in the past year saw him traded to the Rockets and then the Lakers.

Through the many pit stops, he has averaged just 4.2 points, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game - though his numbers in 10 career starts jump to 9.1 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game.

The Lakers hoped to sign Derrick Rose as rookie phenom Lonzo Ball's backup, but the former MVP was hesitant to accept, reports Shelburne. Rose signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, opening the door for Ennis' reported return to Los Angeles.
