The great Michael Jordan was named NBA Most Valuable Player for the first time in his career in 1988, three years prior to his first championship win as a member of the Chicago Bulls.

Fast forward 29 years later, and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook finds himself in the same boat, having just been named league MVP for the 2016-17 campaign before ever winning a ring.

To congratulate Westbrook on his achievement, the Jordan brand sent the 28-year-old an Air Jordan XXX1/10/10 PE pack for his accomplishments, topped off with a personal message from the basketball legend himself.

The XXX1/10/10 commemorates Westbrook's historical numbers from this past season, where he set a new record by notching 42 triple-doubles with averages of 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists across 81 games.
