Wizards purchase new G League team

The Washington Wizards announced Wednesday that they've acquired the rights to own and operate an NBA G League team, which will begin play in the 2018-19 season.
It will be the 27th G League team in place for that season. The squad is scheduled to play out of a new facility in Washington's Ward 8 neighborhood.
Twenty-six G League franchises will be in place next season.
