Westbrook embraces Shaqtin' MVP award

Russell Westbrook isn't ashamed of his dubious new title.

After being crowned the 2016-17 Shaqtin' A Fool MVP on Tuesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard offered somewhat of an acceptance speech on Instagram.

Considering he's one of the leading candidates for the league's Most Valuable Player, the triple-double king is obviously good at things beyond providing bloopers for Shaquille O'Neal's "Inside the NBA" segment.

Garnering 42 percent of the fan votes, Westbrook could become the first person to win both Shaqtin' and NBA MVP honors in a campaign. He joins his former teammates James Harden and Kendrick Perkins, as well as Otto Porter and JaVale McGee in Shaqtin' infamy.
