You're still the real MVP, Wanda Durant.
Kevin Durant endured a great deal of scrutiny from the basketball world after leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the team that eliminated him from last year's postseason, the Golden State Warriors. It all worked out in the end, though, as Durant can now call himself an NBA champion after Golden State took Game 5 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.
Wanda made sure to let her son know how proud she was during his postgame interview, grabbing Durant's attention quickly to let him know that he accomplished his ultimate goal.
It's happy, happy days for the Durant family.
