Former New York Knicks head coach Derek Fisher was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol following a car crash on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles.

The 2015 Cadillac Escalade he was driving at the time is reportedly registered to Matt Barnes, according to TMZ Sports.

Fisher's passenger was Gloria Govan, his significant other and ex-wife of Barnes. Her relationship with Fisher began when she was separated from Barnes in 2015.

Barnes reportedly gave the vehicle to Govan "for the kids," referring to the two children they have together.

Fisher and Govan were assisted out of the wrecked car, which overturned after hitting a concrete curb and guardrail.

Barnes was suspended two games during the 2015-16 regular season after confronting Fisher at Govan's home and allegedly punching him in the face.

The 37-year-old veteran is currently competing for the Golden State Warriors in this year's NBA Finals.
