Dirk: Dominance of Dubs, Cavs taking drama away from playoffs' early rounds

The NBA's lack of parity is an inescapable topic right now.

While it's clear to see that the NBA is a two-team contest between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cavs being dominated in Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals has seemingly put the Dubs in a league of their own.

"It takes some of the drama away in the early (playoff) rounds, which was usually so much fun," Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki said on Monday in regards to the two-team dominance, according to Dwaine Price of Mavs.com.

"It's talent-pooling going on right now where a lot of teams are loading up and that takes some franchise players away from other teams," Nowitzki said, according to Price.

Considering the Warriors and Cavaliers entered the Finals with a combined 24-1 record, Nowitzki's comments regarding the early playoff rounds couldn't be more on point.
