ESPN's Stephen A. Smith has mastered the art of incorrectly picking the NBA Finals winner.
Dating back to 2011, the "First Take" host has an ugly 0-6 record in that department.
| Year | Smith's pick | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 2011 | Heat | Mavericks |
| 2012 | Thunder | Heat |
| 2013 | Spurs | Heat |
| 2014 | Heat | Spurs |
| 2015 | Cavaliers | Warriors |
| 2016 | Warriors | Cavaliers |
At least Smith is aware his Finals picks are as safe as jumping out of a plane without a parachute, something he elaborated on during his radio show Friday:
The Cleveland Cavaliers should pray Smith changes his pick from back in March, as he proclaimed that LeBron and Co. would hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
