With their 113-91 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Thursday's Game 1, the Golden State Warriors tied an NBA record with their 13th straight playoff win.

The Warriors joined the 1988-89 Los Angeles Lakers and 2016-17 Cavaliers as the only other teams to accomplish the feat. Golden State is the first team to win 13 consecutive playoff games in a single postseason.

After a brief swoon in March, Golden State has looked virtually unbeatable over the past couple of months, winning 28 of its last 29 contests overall.

A nine-day break appeared to have little affect on the Warriors in Game 1, as Golden State also tied an NBA record for the fewest turnovers in a Finals contest.

Should they manage to take Game 2 at Oracle, the Warriors would become the first team in NBA history to win 14 straight postseason contests.
