Kobe brings daughter to WNBA game to learn 'the spirit of competition'

NBA/Twitter

Kobe Bryant knows a thing or two about competitiveness, and he's finding some pretty cool ways to instill that in his children.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend took in the Los Angeles Sparks' season opener Saturday courtside at Staples Center with his second daughter, Gianna, who clearly inherited his passion for hoops.

Entertainment aside, here's what The Black Mamba said he wanted "Lil Mamba" to take away from the WNBA contest:

The process of it. And understanding how the game is played, look at the pace of the game. ... Understanding of what can be accomplished, and that they can play at an extremely high level, and the spirit of competition I think is the most important thing.

In addition to watching the Sparks defeat the Seattle Storms 78-68, Gianna also got to meet one of her favorite players in UConn star Katie Lou Samuelson.
