Pistons' Tobias Harris: Leads team with 23 off bench in OT loss
Harris posted 23 points (10-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) seven rebounds, three assists and one steal over 35 minutes in Friday's 108-105 OT loss to the Bucks.
Analysis:
In what many consider to be an odd move by Coach Stan Van Gundy, Harris played off the bench once again and Jon Leuer started at the 4. While Leuer is arguably the better rebounder, Harris provides a defensive spark to the team that Leuer seems to lack, which is why he'll still see significant minutes whether he starts or not. He's outplayed Leuer in his bench role over the past two games, and aside from a few poor outings, is still shooting a respectable 46.6 percent from the field over 17 contests in March. The Leuer/Harris situation will probably persist until the end of the season, but Harris will be a decent tournament option as he sees enough usage to be relevant.
