Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Scores 18 in loss
Russell posted 18 points (7-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists, three steals and two rebounds over 36 minutes in Tuesday's 133-109 loss to the Clippers.
Analysis:
The Lakers lineup has been pretty much set recently, but there's still been unrest at shooting guard, with Nick Young and Russell alternating at the position frequently. Despite this, Russell is the player to own on the team, as he has an uncanny ability to break out with a huge game more often than any other Laker. He's scored 20 or more points in six of his last 13 games, and while that's not exactly consistent, he shows potential to be a high risk/reward fantasy candidate. As long as owners can handle a lot of variance, Russell is the best fantasy option on the team currently.
