Celtics' Brown: Curry's trash-talking was 'cute'

Kelley L Cox / USA TODAY Sports

If Steph Curry was attempting to get in the head of Jaylen Brown on Wednesday night, he didn't do a very good job of it.

After ending the third quarter with a buzzer-beating three, the two-time MVP began taunting the Celtics rookie as he walked back to the bench - a move that Brown found more amusing than anything.

"I didn't say nothing to him," Brown told Jay King of MassLive.com. "He hit a good shot. It was cute. And he just made a good shot. I didn't say a word. I was just playing defense."

Brown got the last laugh at the end of the day, as the Celtics ended the Warriors' 56-game streak of scoring 100 points or more at Oracle Arena.

"I didn't say a word to him," Brown said. "I promise I didn't say a word to him. I was just out there playing D, doing my job. He looked at me and starting doing whatever. But, I mean, they needed that energy to get them going. I'm just glad we got the win tonight."
