There are some striking similarities between the way Dirk Nowitzki recorded the 20,000th and 30,000th points of his career.
With 10:57 left in the second quarter of the Dallas Mavericks' win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, Nowitzki hit a fadeaway jumper over Larry Nance Jr. to become just the sixth player in NBA history to reach the 30,000-point mark.
Nowitzki scored his 20,00th point in 2010 over then-Laker Lamar Odom, who was also wearing No. 7.
