Twitter roasts NBA for underwhelming 2017 Slam Dunk Contest
Toronto set the bar far too high.
The 2017 Slam Dunk Contest didn't come close to replicating the epic duel waged by Aaron Gordon and Zach LaVine north of the border in 2016. This time around, Gordon spent more time playing with a toy rather than entertaining the crowd.
Glenn Robinson III did pull off some impressive dunks to take home the trophy, but three of his four dunks were variations on the same theme of jumping over people.
Runner-up Derrick Jones Jr. couldn't even complete the first dunk of the final round, while DeAndre Jordan's moment came and went with the permanency of DJ Khaled's indispensable Snapchat account.
Twitter was thoroughly displeased with the Slam Dunk Contest and proceeded to roast the NBA for treating everyone to a huge dud.
