Raptors' DeMar DeRozan: Will play Monday vs. Clippers
DeRozan (ankle) will play in Monday's game against the Clippers, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.
Analysis:
DeRozan was able to participate in portions of Saturday's practice, but was eventually held out of Sunday's win over the Nets in order to avoid playing in a back-to-back set fresh off the ankle injury. However, after testing things out during pregame warmups Monday, team doctors have given him clearance to return. He'll rejoin the starting five following a four-game absence due to the sore right ankle and isn't expected to face any sort of minutes restrictions. As a result, Norman Powell will head back to the bench and will likely see his playing time slashed significantly, making him a less-than-ideal lineup option heading into the upcoming week.
