LeBron shows love to triple-double machine Westbrook

Russell Westbrook is a team unto himself when he's scoring, rebounding, and passing at the rate he currently is.

In a win for the Oklahoma City Thunder over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, Westbrook notched his seventh triple-double of the 2016-17 regular season with 17 points, 13 boards, and 15 dimes in 37 minutes of action.

In the process, the five-time All-Star tied LeBron James with 44 career triple-doubles for the sixth-most in NBA history.

It's difficult to ignore the tear Westbrook is currently on, as James - who gave a shoutout to the Thunder general on his Twitter account Sunday morning - is one of many mesmerized by his sensational play and out-of-this-world numbers.

The Thunder visit Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks Monday night, and should Westbrook bring down 11 rebounds, he'll find himself averaging a triple-double on the season.

He's currently contributing 31.2 points (second in NBA), 9.9 rebounds (13th), and 11.1 assists (second) to OKC, who own a 10-8 record for sixth in the Western Conference.
