Embiid trolls 'BBQ Chicken' Whiteside on Instagram
If you possess a Twitter or Instagram account, it's safe to assume you're nowhere near on Joel Embiid's level when it comes to social media brilliance.
The Philadelphia 76ers won just their third game of the 2016-17 regular season on Monday in a 101-94 victory against the Miami Heat, with Embiid scoring 22 points and blocking three shots in 23 minutes of action.
The man tasked with defending him, Hassan Whiteside, put up a more impressive line in defeat, securing a double-double of 32 points and 13 rebounds. Was that enough to earn him some leeway from Embiid in a postgame Instagram post?
Of course not.
Rather than poke fun at him outright, Embiid took a subtle jab at Whiteside by tagging him as "BBQ Chicken" in his photo. TNT analyst Shaquille O'Neal uses the expression whenever he sees a big man roast another big man in the paint area.
Keep trusting that process, Embiid.
