Lakers to wear Showtime Era throwbacks in 3 select games

The present day Los Angeles Lakers hardly resemble the championship teams of yore, but that's not stopping the team from whipping up some nostalgia.

The Lakers announced Thursday that they will wear Showtime Era throwback jerseys on the 30th anniversary of the unforgettable 1986-87 squad that took home the title following a 65-17 season.

Los Angeles will wear their throwbacks on Nov. 4 against the Golden State Warriors, on Jan. 17 against the Denver Nuggets, and again on March 3 against the Boston Celtics.
