Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard: Goes 1-for-10 from field in loss
Lillard finished with four points (1-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists and two rebounds across 18 minutes in Sunday's 106-97 preseason loss to the Nuggets.
Analysis:
With Lillard enduring a poor shooting night while also turning the ball over four times, coach Terry Stotts opted to limit the point guard's workload, as Lillard saw the fewest minutes of any starter. As a high-usage player, Lillard will occasionally suffer through rough shooting games that can hurt a fantasy owner's field-goal percentage, but it's an easy price to pay considering the immense all-around value he brings in the form of scoring, three-pointers, assists and free-throw percentage.
