Shaq names his all-time starting 5
Greatness recognizes greatness.
Shaquille O'Neal is heading to the Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday, and while everyone is celebrating the Big Aristotle and his accomplishments, he shouted out some other legends.
Shaq listed his all-time starting five as Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Julius Erving, and Karl Malone.
It's hard to argue against a lineup that includes both the GOAT and the player who accumulated the most titles in history.
Russell and Dr. J are set to present O'Neal at his induction.
Shaq recently dropped one of those names when talking about his own career aspirations.
"A lot of people can claim the title of the best, but only a few can say they were the most dominant," he told Shams Charania of The Vertical. "That was my goal. I wanted to be in the conversation championship-wise and stats-wise, changing the game like Mike and Wilt (Chamberlain) did."
He's definitely in the conversation, and could find himself in other all-time top fives.
