The Philadelphia 76ers have waived forward Carl Landry and center Tibor Pleiss, the team announced on Wednesday.
Landry averaged 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds on 55.6 percent shooting in 36 games for the Sixers in 2015-16.
Pleiss was recently acquired from the Jazz in a trade that sent point guard Kendall Marshall to Utah. The 7-foot-3 big man averaged just 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12 games this past season.
With big men Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Dario Saric all set to make their NBA debut during the upcoming season, Philadelphia simply did not have enough room left in its frontcourt to keep Landry and Pleiss.
