Green apologizes for Snapchat mishap: 'I kinda hit the wrong button'
We're all prone to making mistakes from time to time, and in the case of Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green, he made one that could have easily been avoided on Sunday morning.
The U.S. men's Olympic team member accidentally sent out a photo of his genitalia through his Snapchat account. Green later claimed on Twitter that he was hacked before apologizing later in the day, admitting that the post was actually an error on his part.
"It was a situation where it was meant to be a private message. I kinda hit the wrong button and it sucks," Green said on Sunday, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins. "It was meant to be private. We're all one click away from placing something in the wrong place and I suffered from that this morning."
The 26-year-old recently reached a plea deal stemming from an incident in which he allegedly slapped former Michigan State football player Jermaine Edmondson outside of a local restaurant in East Lansing on July 10.
Green will only need to pay $560 in fines ($500 fine and $60 restitution fee), and will not face any criminal offenses or jail time, with the charges being reduced to a mere noise violation.
