The Memphis Grizzlies officially announced the signing of forward Chandler Parsons to a multi-year deal on Thursday.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed but Parson's deal is believed to be worth $94-million over four years.

Chandler had each of his last two seasons cut short due to knee surgery, but still opted to decline his $15-million player option with the Dallas Mavericks in order to pursue free agency.

His belief that he was a max player was quickly rewarded by the Grizzlies, who secured Parsons' commitment on the opening day of free agency.

Despite his injury concerns, Parsons has managed to be a highly effective player when on the court. The 27-year-old averaged 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in two seasons in Dallas, shooting .475/.395/.705.

Parsons is expected to slide into the Grizzlies starting lineup alongside Mike Conley, Tony Allen, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.
