Four months after being seen wandering barefoot in Houston, former NBA player Delonte West once again has people concerned about his well-being.

A photo surfaced Sunday of West carrying a sign and cup while walking down the side of the road in Temple Hills, Md. In a since-deleted tweet, Twitter user @JJ_RipCuba wrote, "Let's Pray for Delonte West Y'all He Bipolar And On St. Barnabas Road Bumming Smh He Ain't Taking His Medicine," and said West approached him.

West, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008, has since issued a statement to Media Takeout disputing claims that he's homeless, explaining that he was helping someone out.

"I was helping a homeless man in my neighborhood that's paralyzed from neck down," West said. "I parked my car and got out to help because it was 90 degree weather and I was feeling blessed at the moment for just having legs."

West was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 24th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. He bounced around in the years that followed, spending time with the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks before leaving the NBA in 2012. He last played in the D-League in early 2015.
