Poem written by Michael Jordan to grade school crush up for auction
Before he was a basketball legend, Michael Jordan was just a lovestruck boy with a penchant for writing sappy poems.
Darren Rovell of ESPN stumbled upon this rare piece of Jordan memorabilia available in Goldin Auctions' latest sale, which begins next month. It's a poem supposedly written by Jordan to a grade school crush.

The poem, titled "Only You," reads as follows:
Only you can brighten my day
Only you can show me the way
Only you can except my love
You and the great man above
Only you can kiss me on my cheeks
When I with you I never fear defeat
I hope you grow very, very tall
Because right now you haven't grown at all
My face shows happiness and blue
Because I will love "Only You"
According to Aaron Mansfield of Complex, the poem was auctioned off once before and sold for nearly $1,800.
