Gobert exits must-win game with sprained ankle

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert will not return after twisting his ankle in Monday's crucial clash with the Dallas Mavericks.
The towering Frenchman landed awkwardly midway through the second half and limped off the court while favoring his right ankle.
The 23-year-old ranks as a premier shot-blocker and his absence would put further strain on an already banged up frontcourt. Fellow starter Derrick Favors is dealing with a sore right knee and was considered questionable heading into Monday's game before ultimately deciding to play.
A Jazz loss Monday would drop them to ninth behind the Houston Rockets, who defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves to put the pressure on Utah.
