Joe Gibbs Racing sweeps New Hampshire
New Hampshire Motor Speedway was good to Joe Gibbs Racing this weekend.
Not only did a JGR member win in the Xfinity Series and the Sprint Cup Series main events, but the team grabbed the Coors Light Pole Award for both series, too.
Denny Hamlin successfully captured the pole for the Xfinity Series Lakes Region 200, with a fastest lap of 131.026 mph. He then went on to win Saturday night after leading 145 of 200 laps.
Carl Edwards was fastest in qualifying ahead of the Sprint Cup Series 5-hour ENERGY 301. He turned a fastest lap of 135.164 mph to capture his 14th career pole.
Perhaps the most impressive of the bunch was Kyle Busch. His win Sunday afternoon was his third victory, and second in row, in four races. Busch is now three spots out of Chase contention, after missing the first 11 races of the season with an injury sustained in the season-opening Xfinity race at Daytona.
Matt Kenseth, the fourth member of JGR, finished sixth in the 5-hour ENERGY 301, and was the only member not to win anything at the Magic Mile.
