Trevor Bayne is out of the Brickyard 400, after wrecking just after the halfway point at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
On the 97th lap, Bayne cut a tire down and went into the wall. After hitting the wall, Bayne spun down to the bottom of the track and his front slammed into the wall.
He brought the No. 21 car to the garage where they attempted to repair the damage, but it was too much to do, so they are now officially out of the race, per NASCAR.
Bayne’s best finish so far this Cup season is 19th, at both Texas and Michigan.
