Last week, Hendrick Motorsports announced a 3-year partnership with DC Comics. The deal would allow DC Entertainment characters to be showcased on the cars of the Hendrick drivers.
First Up: Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Superman.
Earnhardt Jr. tweeted out a picture of the No. 88 Superman / National Guard Chevy SS that will be run this weekend for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
This isn’t the first time Jr. has been connected to the Man of Steel. In last June’s Michigan race, Jr. ran a “Soldier of Steel” car to promote last year’s “Man of Steel” movie, starring Henry Cavill as Superman.
