Ryan Blaney: Top-10 run in San Diego

Rotowire ·

Blaney led 12 laps and finished ninth in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Anduril 250 at Naval Base Coronado.

Analysis:

Blaney would spend much of the race up front, but a late pit stop knocked him back in the running order. Still, his ninth-place finish made for a good points day for Blaney when coupled with his strong performance in each stage. The Cup Series will now head to Sonoma, where Blaney was running well last season before contact with Chris Buescher forced Blaney's car off of the track, where he ended up stuck in the dirt.
