Ken Shamrock is going to have to live with a TKO loss at Bellator 149 in his third - and likely final - meeting with rival Royce Gracie.
The ending did not come without controversy. After a brief feeling-out period, the living legends clinched up and exchanged knees to the body. One of Gracie's knees appeared to be below the belt, and a follow-up knee caught Shamrock in the head:
Shamrock fell down with Gracie on top of him. A few stiff hammer fists later, the fight was waved off:
Afterward, a furious Shamrock accused Gracie of intentionally using a low blow to win the fight:
Shamrock calmed down considerably in the post-match interview, saving face on a night when he was hoping to finally get a win over his UFC 1 rival.
It was Gracie's first fight since July 2007, and at age 49, he picked up the 15th win of his storied career.
